Myrna Castillo was interposed in 1980 as the new Cinderella of Philippine Showbiz, after star-maker Dr. Rey dela Cruz discovered her in Tondo, Manila. She made her film debut in "Ito ang Babae" with Charito Solis but had a lukewarm box-office returns. She made a string of sexy movies from 1980 to 1984. Memorable were "Virgin People" (1982), which topped the box-office in the Manila International Film festival in 1982. Other credits include "Brown Emmanuelle" (1982) and "Materyales Fuertes" (1985).
